Night Sky Scattering Poems Perfume

An anthology of night-scents curated by insomniac wanderings – the hot melted wax of dying prayer candles, ripening groves of lemon trees, wet cobblestones, blooming cyclamen, gnarled olive wood, crumbling limestone cement, rusty wrought iron, dried tree moss, fallen neroli flowers, creeping river mist, and night musk. a candle is lighted and it is dark. the people are in their houses the frail man is in his bed the city sleeps with death upon her mouth having a song in her eyes the hours descend, putting on stars… in the street of the sky night walks scattering poems. - e.e. cummings   Art: The Towpath, Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson, 1912
