Night Gate Vol. 1

The city is falling. The dark is opening. There's no going back. Night Gate Vol. 1 is Lucia Asul's breakout urban fantasy-horror comic, now arriving in the US in physical format for the first time courtesy of Hot Tropiks Press and Raygun Press. Set against a civil war tearing Balaan City apart, Night Gate follows survivor Sinta and her family as a portal opens into total darkness in the middle of the chaos — forcing them to choose between staying in a warzone or stepping into the unknown void beyond the gate. Written and illustrated by award-winning Ilonggo painter Lucia Asul, and drawn in stark, high-contrast black-and-white, Night Gate Vol. 1 is a grounded, unflinching story about survival and fear.
