Nickel Plated #40 Roller Chain (per ft)

#40 nickel plated roller chain for chain-driven slide gate operators. Pitch is 1/2 in, roller diameter 0.312 in, and inner width 5/16 in. The nickel plating resists rust better than plain steel chain in wet or coastal areas. Sold by the foot. Set the quantity to the number of feet you need. #40 is a common drive chain on residential and commercial slide gate operators. The chain runs the length of the gate, wraps the operator's drive sprocket and idlers, and bolts to the gate at each end. Features #40 roller chain, 1/2 in pitch Roller diameter 0.312 in, inner width 5/16 in Nickel plated for corrosion resistance Sold per foot (quantity = feet) Before You Order #40 and #41 share the same 1/2 in pitch but are not interchangeable. #40 has a wider 5/16 in inner width and a larger roller. Check the chain size in your operator manual or on the drive sprocket before you order. If you are replacing chain, measure pitch (pin center to pin center) and inner width. Master links are not included. Order #40 nickel plated master links to join the chain ends, and a #40 nickel plated half link if you need to adjust length by one pitch. Measure the gate travel plus the run around the operator and add extra for the chain bolts at each end. Other nickel plated sizes in this format: #41, #50 and #65.
