Floema Round Coffee Table

The Floema Round Coffee Table, conceived by Italian design master Luca Nichetto for Wendelbo, transforms the traditional coffee table into a sculptural centerpiece through its commitment to fluid forms and material refinement. This statement piece exemplifies Nichetto's design language where geometric clarity meets organic softness through the complete absence of edges and corners. Available in two thoughtful dimensions—a versatile medium (23.6" diameter × 15.7" height) and a commanding large (33.5" diameter × 12.6" height)—the Floema offers proportions for various living environments. The dimensional relationship follows an intentional inverse ratio between diameter and height, ensuring each size maintains a visually balanced presence regardless of scale. The table's defining characteristic is its continuous curvature, where the substantial round top appears to float effortlessly above the delicate black powder-coated steel frame. This visual lightness creates a compelling contrast that draws attention to both the premium surface material and the architectural elegance of the supporting structure. Material selection plays a crucial role in the Floema's versatility, with options including the organic warmth of solid walnut, the luxurious veining of premium marble, or the practical sophistication of black laminate. Each surface option transforms the table's character while maintaining its essential design integrity—allowing it to integrate seamlessly with diverse interior aesthetics from mid-century inspired spaces to contemporary minimalist environments. In living rooms, the Floema becomes a natural gathering point that softens the angular lines of surrounding furniture. When used in hospitality settings or executive lobbies, its refined presence establishes a sophisticated tone while providing an ideal surface for displaying design objects or serving refreshments. The round form naturally encourages conversation and connection, making it as socially intelligent as it is visually striking. True to Nichetto's cross-cultural design philosophy that blends Italian expressiveness with Scandinavian restraint, the Floema Round Coffee Table exemplifies how thoughtful material selection and proportion can elevate a fundamental form into a distinctive design statement.
