Discontinued by Nice. The MX5421 Mercury 310 Motor Kit (Retrofit) is the updated version. Nice Apollo 73090005 is the original gearmotor assembly for the Vanguard 3501 swing gate operator. The Vanguard 3501 runs at 12 VDC. The MX5421 kit replaces four parts at once: the motor (73090005 to MX5420), the chain (72520000 to MX5622), the small sprocket (50B14 to MX5624) and the terminal strip (TB-6 to TB-8). The new motor can be wired to a 1050US controller. Its two encoder wires stay unconnected because the 1050US does not use the encoder. The operator still works normally.
