Matagalpa Ghost - Nicaragua Single Origin Medium Roast

The Matagalpa Ghost is a Nicaragua single origin medium roast coffee crafted by Grenade Coffee. Sourced from the smallholder farmers of Molino Norte in the Matagalpa region, this coffee is distinguished by its precise processing and high-altitude cultivation. The beans are harvested from a diverse array of varietals, including Yellow Catuai, Red Catuai, Catimor, and Parainema, grown at elevations between 900 and 1,590 meters above sea level. The soil is clay-mineral, offering moisture retention and flavor enhancement. Processing involves fully washed methods with 12 to 14 hours of fermentation, followed by drying on patios and raised beds, ensuring a consistently clean cup from cherry to cup. The medium roasting profile preserves the floral, citrus, and cocoa notes, resulting in a balanced, refined flavor profile suitable for various brewing methods. Materials and Construction The coffee beans are processed and dried using traditional methods, resulting in whole, high-quality Arabica beans. The packaging is designed to preserve freshness, compatible with storage in a cool, airtight container away from light and moisture.
