This image is part of a series of WWII posters published by the New Zealand Legation in Washington, D.C. as part of an educational campaign. The goal was to keep Americans informed that remote New Zealand was part of the Allied Forces and played a critical role in the Pacific Theater. The design is graphic and bold, and the simplified forms lead us to wonder whether this is a soldier has places his bi-pod machine gun in the sand of a beach locale in the Pacific or perhaps a desert area of North Africa. We were unfortunately not able to find out any biographical information out about the artist of this poster. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all our posters.
