New Vintage™ Red Yarrow

Compact Ruby Red Blooms that Thrive in Harsh Conditions New Vintage™ Red Yarrow is a compact, hardworking perennial that bursts into bloom with vivid ruby-red flowers from early summer through fall. Flat-topped clusters rise above fine, fern-like foliage, delivering a long-lasting splash of color in borders, beds, and containers. Despite its soft appearance, this yarrow is built for heat, drought, and poor soil. Ideal for tough sites like sidewalk strips, rock gardens, and sun-soaked patios, this low-maintenance plant is salt-tolerant and deer-resistant. Whether you're planting en masse or mixing it into a vibrant perennial border, New Vintage™ Red keeps its tidy form and vibrant color even under harsh conditions. Its upright stems make it a perfect pick for fresh arrangements and dried bouquets. And while the fragrance may be subtle, the visual impact is anything but—especially in gardens with coneflowers, coreopsis, and ornamental grasses. New Vintage™ Red Yarrow also naturally supports a healthy garden environment, attracting bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects. Whether you're filling a meadow garden or looking for a drought-tough patio option, the New Vintage™ Red Yarrow is an excellent choice! Planting & Care 1. Planting: Plant your New Vintage™ Red Yarrow in a location that receives full sun (up to 6 hours) with well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, placing the plant so the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Fill in with loose, well-draining soil, and ensure it’s secure in the ground. 2. Watering: Once established, Yarrow is drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering. Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the plant is in a spot with excellent drainage. 3. Pruning: Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage a second flush of flowers. In early spring, trim back any old or dead growth to make room for fresh stems. Yarrow does not require heavy pruning, but cutting back the spent flowers will keep the plant neat and encourage reblooming.
