With the 20-year legacy of the new Hemi platform and an abundance of salvage-yard cores, the timing couldn't be better. The arrival of the formidable Hellcat in 2015, coupled with Mopar's expanded crate-engine program, has paved the way for aftermarket manufacturers to provide a range of peripherals and parts, simplifying the entire swap process. Suddenly, swapping a crate Hemi engine becomes as attainable as an LS swap. New Hemi Engine Swaps covers all the essential aspects, ensuring a successful installation. From engine mounts and transmission crossmembers to headers designed for a perfect fit, you'll find solutions to common challenges along the way. Fuel-supply items such as pumps and tanks, as well as engine-compatibility concerns like oil-filter locations and oil-pan accommodations, are thoroughly addressed. The book also dives into the critical elements that often worry enthusiasts the most: wiring, modern powertrain control modules (PCMs), computer controls, and fuel injection. With detailed explanations and step-by-step instructions, you'll gain the confidence to tackle these technical aspects. The guide even features a special section on programming aftermarket electronic fuel-injection (EFI) systems, providing you with invaluable insights. Thanks to advancements in technology and a wealth of resources, performing these engine swaps no longer requires a computer science degree or welding certifications.
