NeuroCalm Mag

Magnesium Supplementation Supports Total Body Health† Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays an important role in a multitude of body functions, including neurological health, muscle health,  sleep, and mood, among many others! Different forms of magnesium have been shown to exert different benefits,  which is why I carefully formulated this well-rounded formula offering a combination of 3 magnesium forms.† Magnesium Deficiency is Incredibly Widespread Magnesium is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies I see in my clinic. In fact, nearly everyone who isn’t already supplementing with a top-quality magnesium supplement is likely low in this all-important mineral. Food surveys done by the National Institute of Health suggest that as many as 90% of Americans may be deficient! Magnesium is Involved in Over 300 Biochemical Processes A few of its most notable roles are supporting healthy bowels, maintaining healthy bones, aiding in cognitive function, relaxing tight and aching muscles, and, perhaps most importantly, supporting cardiovascular health. Magnesium also promotes a calm and relaxed mood and is critical for healthy sleep too.† Magnesium Bolsters Brain Health† Optimal magnesium levels go a very long way when it comes to anything and everything brain-related. Whether you’re wanting to wake up feeling alive and energized, focus on the task at hand, remember everything on your daily ‘to do’ list, or just get a good night’s rest, you need an ample amount of magnesium to accomplish it. In addition to supporting the health of your nerves themselves, magnesium also helps with occasional head tension & discomfort and supports a relaxed mood.† Magnesium Supports Healthy Sleep† Magnesium plays a leading role in supporting deep, restorative sleep by supporting normal levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that promotes healthy sleep. My Neurocalm Mag is formulated with Magnesium L-Threonate, a type of magnesium proven to cross the blood-brain barrier. Increasing the levels of magnesium in the brain is a superb strategy to support relaxation and restorative sleep.† Magnesium supplementation is SO important! FAQs What time of day should I take magnesium? Magnesium can be used any time of the day, morning or night. I like to take my magnesium right before I go to bed as it supports a healthy night’s sleep. Magnesium can also be taken with or without food. Some people feel better when taking it with a meal, although most people tolerate it on an empty stomach just fine. Is Magnesium safe for children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers? Yes. Magnesium supplementation is safe when it is used as directed and is not contraindicated by advice you’ve been given by your healthcare provider, or any prescription medications you’re taking, however I always recommend working with a qualified healthcare provider if you have any concerns, and before supplementing with anything new in order to determine what’s best for your individual health status! There are two different magnesium supplements in your store… what kind of magnesium is right for me? I recently wrote about this very topic in my blog which you can read HERE! How come there are fewer scoops in my container than the number listed on the label? The listed amount of scoops per container is an approximation and can vary based on personal use such as how full you make your scoops, spilling it, how well you scrape out the container, etc. While the number listed is an approximation, it shouldn't vary considerably versus what you get. Why do you use Stevia in your products?  As you know, the first pillar of The Myers Way® is to remove foods such as sugar, alcohol, and processed foods to help promote gut health. While following the first 30 days of The Myers Way®, I recommend avoiding all sugars, including naturally-derived sweeteners. This is particularly important if you’re addressing gut balance and supporting the gut microbiome. However, if you’ve completed the protocol, you might be ready to enjoy the occasional, naturally sweetened indulgence! I want to set you up for success so I only use naturally-derived sweeteners in my products. “Stevia” is a great natural sweetener used as a sugar substitute.  What is Stevia? Stevia is a sweetener that is derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant which is native to Paraguay and Brazil.  How does "Stevia" compare to other sweeteners? Stevia’s sweetness comes from steviol glycosides, which are between 50 and 300 times as sweet as sugar. It is considered a naturally derived alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners that may be gentler and more supportive of gut health and balance.  Is Stevia bad for you? There have been a lot of stories about Stevia in the news which has caused some concern about using this ingredient in products and food you consume. The reason “Stevia” has been in the news is that it’s been found that several manufacturers have bulked up their “Stevia” by adding other artificial sweeteners, namely erythritol. We use only pure “Stevia” in our products and none of our products contain erythritol.
