Nettles (Urtica dioica, leaves) Nettle is a prickly, flowering perennial plant that is most commonly used for urinary problems. It may act as a diuretic - increasing urination, protecting bladder health, improving kidney function, and expelling uric acid. It has anti-inflammatory properties as well as an abundance of flavonoids, fatty acid chains, phytoestrogens, phytosterols, carotenoids, vitamins C, B, and K1, sterols, and minerals. Drinking Nettle tea may help reduce the symptoms of allergies, such as itching and sneezing.
