"Netherfield", Original Artwork

Inspired by the sweeping upland pastures of Ireland — this brushless abstract captures the terrain in vertical blocks of beige and ivory, a grounding band of deep green, and warm tones of paprika, clay, orange, brown, and gold. No two monotype prints are ever exactly alike, making this piece truly irreplaceable. Original artwork, framed with mat. Acrylic monotype print on 88lb acid-free gravure paper. 11×14" print. Matted 16×20". Framed 17.5×21.5". What is a monotype print? This artwork was created using monotype printmaking techniques with acrylic paint. Monotype printing involves applying paint to a smooth, clean, un-etched surface and then transferring the image to paper by hand. Since only a single impression of the image is made, no two prints are exactly alike. As a result of this print process, unique textural qualities are achieved through the layer of paint.
