Neptune Synthetic Squirrel Brushes - Dagger Striper

Dagger Striper brushes feature a sharply angled, pointed tip that allows for dramatic line variation within a single stroke. By rotating or changing pressure, artists can move seamlessly from thin, precise lines to wider, expressive marks. This shape is excellent for organic textures like foliage, grasses, feathers, and calligraphic strokes, as well as dynamic edge work in watercolor and gouache. Princeton's Neptune line is their softest, most absorbent synthetic watercolor brush line, engineered to mimic the feel and performance of natural squirrel hair while offering enhanced durability and value. Designed specifically for watercolor and gouache, Neptune brushes hold an exceptional amount of water and pigment, releasing color smoothly and evenly to create vibrant, flowing washes and rich, luminous layers. Artists praise their supple bristles, fine points, and versatility across shapes like rounds, quills, oval washes, and mottlers, allowing for fluid transitions from expansive backgrounds to delicate details.
