Spice Zee Nectaplum Tree

Spice Zee Nectaplum is as much an ornamental showpiece as it is a fruit tree. Spring begins with a vivid display of pink blossoms, followed by red new foliage that matures to green by late summer. Against that dramatic canopy, medium-sized fruit develops from dark maroon at fruit set to pale pink when ripe, concealing juicy white flesh with a flavor that genuinely suggests both nectarine and plum. The taste is sweet, tangy, aromatic, and difficult to compare to ordinary stone fruit, making Spice Zee especially exciting for fresh eating and creative desserts. Its low-chill requirement brings this unusual harvest within reach of many mild-winter gardens, while the semi-dwarf habit keeps the tree suitable for a home orchard. For gardeners who want a tree that earns its space through flowers, foliage, and distinctive fruit, Spice Zee delivers interest from early spring through summer harvest. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Citation rootstock produces a manageable semi-dwarf tree. Prune for light and airflow, thin crowded fruit when needed, and provide steady moisture during development to support fruit size and quality. Spice Zee is self-fruitful and can produce alone. Another compatible stone fruit nearby can increase pollinator activity and may support fruit set while adding a contrasting flavor or harvest period.
