A gift box full of handcrafted North Carolina foods curated exclusively for Food52. We've traveled all across the Old North State, gathering the tastiest small-batch snacks and pantry staples that epitomize the signature flavors of North Carolina. Many of these delicious southern delicacies are hard to find anywhere else!   Each handsomely packaged NC Made Old North State Gift Box includes:  Mount Olive FUMC Blister-fried Peanuts -- Grown in Wayne County, boiled, and then fried to perfection in typical eastern NC style, these addictive crunchy salted nuts are so delicious they caught the attention of folks up north. Wilber's Barbecue Sauce -- Representing the Pine State's popular eastern style of barbecue, this no-nonsense vinegar and pepper sauce made in Goldsboro adds just the right tartness to cut through the richness of traditional wood-smoked whole hog barbecue.   Atkinson Mill Sweet Betsy Hushpuppy Mix -- Crispy, fried hushpuppies are one of the most common sides served with authentic barbecue in NC, and this sweet onion-y cornmeal mix from Selma is one of the best around.    Ritchie Hill Bakery Cheese Straws -- Produced in a historic creamery in downtown Concord from a 100-year old family recipe, cheese straws are a true southern staple on the menu of every respectable cocktail party and social function across the state.  Two Chicks Farm Mild Pepper Jelly -- Featuring organic produce grown on their Hillsborough farm, pepper jelly is a quintessential southern classic typically spread over cream cheese on Ritz crackers (though equally good paired with local goat cheese or aged cheddar). This gift box is carefully hand-packed in our beautiful NC MADE packaging and includes an information sheet describing each product plus an optional handwritten greeting card.
