Nature’s Shield

Before we built walls, nature was our shelter. Before medicine filled our cabinets, plants, roots, and trees offered healing. Before grocery stores, the earth provided nourishment. Long before we understood the rhythms of the world, the forests, rivers, and changing seasons quietly became our first teachers. Nature has never stopped protecting us. This shield symbolizes that enduring relationship. Within the stone, branching forms appear to cradle new growth, while the shield itself represents the protection found in the natural world. It is a reminder that the earth continues to provide refuge, wisdom, and renewal for those willing to return to it. May this piece inspire you to slow down, step outside, and remember that sometimes the greatest source of healing has been beside us all along.
