Natural Competition Kamas

Natural Competition Kamas The majority of martial arts weapons that exist were discovered when people had to find a way to defend themselves in a time when weapons were not allowed. Kamas are no exception. Kamas are descended from small Japanese sickles that were used by farmers to cut down weeds and rice. It was then brought into many of the martial arts, including Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and even in a few Kung Fu styles. Mastery of this weapon can be very difficult as the curve of the blade makes it dangerous and the blade itself is very sharp. It is, however, often used in forms competitions or in weapon juggling routines. The Natural Competition Kamas are made using natural hardwood that has been sanded down to a glossy finish. The blades are stainless steel and have five symmetrical holes to increase the efficiency as well as the speed. The blades themselves are seven inches long while the handles are ten inches long and come with leather wrist cords. These are beautiful kamas that would be perfect for competition no matter whether you’re new competing or experienced. Make sure you have a Kama carrying case to carry them around in! Sold as pair
