Myrna Sconce

The L&G Myrna Sconce does something most wall lights completely miss - it gives you actual presence without taking up space. At 24 inches tall and 19 inches wide, it's got this vertical proportion that feels more like a piece of art than a standard sconce. The combo of the shade and exposed globe means you're getting two types of light at once: soft ambient glow washing your wall plus a bit of focused light from the globe itself. Perfect for flanking a mirror in your bathroom, creating symmetry in a hallway, or just adding some visual interest to that weird corner in your living room that never quite feels finished. The proportions work whether you're installing a single one as a statement or pairing them up for balance. What makes this sconce worth the investment is how ridiculously customizable it is compared to what you'll find at regular lighting stores. Brushed brass hardware if you want something warm and traditional, blackened brass if you're after that moody, aged look that just gets better over time. Then you've got shade choices that range from straightforward opaque white to perforated fog that throws interesting shadows, plus specialty finishes like brass or stainless steel brushstroke that catch light in ways you don't expect. The glass globes - marbled white, glacier, or amber - let you tweak the light quality until it's exactly what you want. Takes standard E26 bulbs up to 25 watts, needs hardwired installation with a wall dimmer for controlling the mood. Weighs 6 pounds so it's not going to pull out of your drywall if you install it properly. L&G operates out of Brooklyn and approaches every fixture like it's equal parts lighting and sculpture. They're not mass-producing the same tired designs everyone else is making - each piece feels considered, like someone actually thought about how it'll look at different times of day and how the materials will age. The Myrna collection shows that philosophy clearly: thoughtful proportions, quality materials, and enough customization that you end up with something that feels uniquely yours.
