Myrna Pendant - Medium

The L&G Myrna Pendant brings that layered lighting approach people are always trying to achieve with multiple fixtures - except here you get it all in one piece. The shade and globe work together to create both ambient wash and focused light, so you're not stuck with harsh overhead glare or that dim "romantic lighting" that's actually just too dark to see anything. Hang it over your dining table and you get enough light for dinner without that interrogation-room vibe, or suspend it in an entryway where it makes an actual statement instead of just filling the ceiling box. The horizontal orientation is what makes it interesting - most pendants are vertical and kind of boring, but this one has movement and dimension that changes depending on where you're standing. Available in small, medium, and large, so whether you're working with a breakfast nook or a grand foyer, there's a proportion that actually fits. The customization here is where you can really dial things in exactly how you want them. Hardware comes in brushed brass for that warm traditional feel, or blackened brass if you want something that develops character as it ages - neither one is going to look dated in five years. Shade options range from basic opaque white (which honestly creates beautiful diffused light) to perforated smoke that throws cool patterns, plus those specialty brushstroke finishes in brass or stainless steel that catch light differently throughout the day. The glass globe choices - marbled white, glacier, or amber - let you control the warmth and quality of light in ways that actually matter when you're living with it daily. You specify the overall length when ordering, so it hangs exactly where you need it without weird adjustments later. Takes standard E26 bulbs up to 25 watts, needs a dimmable bulb and wall dimmer. Weighs between 5-9 pounds depending on whether you go metal or glass shades, so standard ceiling boxes handle it fine. L&G is a Brooklyn studio that treats lighting like sculpture that happens to be functional. They're not cranking out the same designs everyone else makes - there's actual thought behind how materials age, how light moves through space, and how proportions work in real rooms. The Myrna collection shows that approach clearly: every option serves a purpose, the quality is there for long-term use, and you end up with something that feels custom rather than mass-produced.
