My Friend Fire Tarot Deck

My Friend Fire is the first of five elemental Gentle Tarot companion decks. Every detail of these 60 hand-illustrated cards and guidebook was chosen with mental health and well-being in mind. With loving reminders for pause, My Friend Fire is a colorful companion for growth and times of change. The deck is divided into five suites with corresponding color borders: Listening (green), Nourishment (blue), Expansion (orange), Reflection (coral), and Transformation (purple) – in addition to five borderless bonus cards and two black/white border cards inspired by the Gentle Tarot's bonus Major Arcana, The Unseen. The suites progress through a healing/transformation journey and the suites themselves also progress in thoughtful stages of their own. Birthed in the same spirit as the Gentle Tarot, My Friend Fire gently decolonizes the card reading practice by inviting connection and direct relation to our natural world and by reminding the reader that the rewilding of the heart and spirit is a birthright. Although a booklet with card descriptions is provided, this deck - with its symbol-laden imagery and descriptive/thoughtful card titles - makes it easy for readers of all experience levels to readily receive direct communication from the cards.
