"My Dear" Script Crystal Dome Paperweight

Two words. That's all it takes. Someone sees "My Dear" in that handwriting and they're already buying it for someone specific. A mother, a best friend, a partner, themselves. This is the paperweight that sells because it says exactly enough and nothing more. Beneath the crystal sits a fragment of antique correspondence, the kind of aged, tea-stained paper that only exists because someone kept a letter they shouldn't have thrown away. The script is unhurried, intimate, slightly imperfect. It reads the way someone sounds when they mean it. No last name. No context. Just the two words that started every letter worth saving. Every paperweight starts as a solid dome of optical-grade French crystal. In our New York City studio, we hand-apply the decoupage image to the flat base, back it with soft felt, and seal it by hand. The crystal's dome shape acts as a built-in magnifying lens, pulling the cursive forward until the handwriting feels close enough to have been written for you. In person, the warm parchment tones glow against the crystal. It's the kind of quiet, beautiful object that people pick up, read, and then hold for a moment longer than necessary. This is one of our strongest gift-category paperweights. It doesn't need an occasion. It is the occasion. Each piece ships with a folded card explaining the centuries-old decoupage technique. Slight variation in image placement is the fingerprint of the handmade process, not a flaw.
