MXR RR104C Randy Rhoads Special Edition Distortion+ Effects Pedal

The MXR RR104C Randy Rhoads Special Edition Distortion+ effects pedal celebrates the enduring legacy of one of the true titans of rock—designed to deliver the iconic sound that defined the early days of heavy metal guitar. Developed in close collaboration with the Rhoads family, this model is built to match the exact specs of Rhoads' original Distortion+ pedal, which powered the searing leads and harmonics on his most celebrated tracks. The custom finish nods to the legendary V-style guitar that Rhoads helped design, giving the enclosure a visual punch to match its sonic bite. Each unit includes an exclusive booklet and certificate of authenticity, making it a collector's item as well as a powerful addition to your rig. Plugging in, you'll access the same raw, saturated drive that helped Rhoads craft his unique blend of melodic riffs and blistering solos—making the RR104C an authentic piece of rock history for your board. Painstakingly Matched Vintage Circuitry for Authentic Rhoads Tone MXR's engineers disassembled Rhoads' original Distortion+ and mapped every component, taking detailed notes at the Rhoads family's Musonia School of Music in Los Angeles. The team recreated the pedal's circuit, including the subtleties that gave Rhoads' sound its edge and sustain. The result is a meticulously crafted special-edition Distortion+ that captures the harmonically rich drive and smooth clipping of Rhoads' vintage unit. With the stomp of a switch, you can achieve the same biting distortion and violin-like lead tones that shaped classic recordings like "Crazy Train," "Mr. Crowley" and so many more.
