Multiquip MVH208GH Reversible Plate Compactor – Power and Precision for Demanding Jobs In construction, roadwork, and landscaping, achieving strong and reliable compaction is critical for long-lasting results. Without proper soil and asphalt compaction, surfaces can shift, settle, and fail prematurely. That’s why professionals trust the Multiquip MVH208GH Reversible Plate Compactor, a machine built for power, efficiency, and durability on medium to heavy-duty projects. As part of Multiquip’s Mikasa product line, the MVH208GH delivers impressive compaction strength, a durable build, and operator-friendly features. It’s the ideal choice for contractors who need a reversible compactor that provides high centrifugal force without the bulk of the heaviest models. What Is the Multiquip MVH208GH Reversible Plate Compactor? The Multiquip MVH208GH Reversible Plate Compactor is a heavy-duty soil compactor designed for professional contractors and construction crews. Unlike forward-only compactors, this model offers reversible functionality, meaning it can move forward, backward, or remain in place for spot compaction. Weighing about 450 lbs (205 kg), the MVH208GH provides the perfect balance between maneuverability and raw compaction power. It’s powered by a Honda GX240 four-cycle gasoline engine, delivering strong torque and efficiency to handle demanding conditions. With over 9,000 lbs (40 kN) of centrifugal force, the MVH208GH is well-suited for road bases, asphalt repair, trench backfilling, and foundation preparation. Key Features of the Multiquip MVH208GH The MVH208GH Plate Compactor comes with features designed to maximize performance, durability, and operator comfort: 1. Honda GX240 Engine Reliable four-cycle engine trusted across the construction industry. Delivers consistent performance, excellent torque, and low emissions. Runs on unleaded gasoline—no fuel mixing required. 2. Reversible Operation Forward and reverse movement increases flexibility on job sites. Spot compaction mode allows precise work in confined areas. Saves time by reducing unnecessary repositioning. 3. High Compaction Force Generates approximately 9,000 lbs (40 kN) of centrifugal force. Compacts soil to depths of 24–30 inches depending on material. Ensures solid foundations for roads, utilities, and landscaping. 4. Durable Steel Base Plate Plate size: 19.7 in. x 35.4 in. (500 mm x 900 mm). Made from high-strength steel for long-term durability. Curved edges prevent surface damage during asphalt compaction. 5. Operator Comfort and Safety Anti-vibration handle reduces fatigue during long shifts. Ergonomic controls provide smooth transitions between directions. Balanced design improves maneuverability despite its weight. 6. Rugged Build Quality Sealed belt cover keeps dirt and debris out of critical components. Reinforced frame protects the engine and mechanical parts. Engineered for heavy daily use on tough job sites.
