Mustad Heritage Apex Streamer Hook

The Mustad Heritage Apex Streamer Hook is built for modern streamer patterns where a wide gape, sharp point, and plenty of room for materials matter. With its 1X long shank and straight eye, the Apex gives fly tiers a versatile platform for everything from compact baitfish imitations to longer flowing hair-wing streamers. For Northeast anglers, this is a natural fit for tying Clouser Deep Minnows, Deceivers, Half & Halfs, sand eel patterns, peanut bunker imitations, spearing patterns, and other baitfish flies. Whether you are trying to imitate the small bait striped bass are picking through in the surf or putting together a streamer box for bonito and false albacore, the Apex gives you the shape and hook geometry to build a clean, effective fly. Mustad's 4.8 AlphaPoint® technology and Opti-Angle Needle Point create an extremely sharp point designed for fast penetration, while the micro barb provides solid holding power without creating a giant lump of metal behind the point. The forged, Nor-Tempered construction adds strength, and the TitanX matte gun metal finish reduces reflected glare for a more subdued presentation. In other words, if your fly box has more baitfish in it than bugs, the Apex Streamer deserves some space on the tying bench.
