Mushroom Ground Coffee - Decaf

For the Earth Goddess — the one who wants the whole ritual of the morning cup and none of the jitters that follow it. Decaf coffee and chicory root, ground together with medicinal mushroom by the handful — wild-harvested chaga and artist conk out of the northwoods, organic lion's mane, organic cordyceps, a little spice. Most brands measure their mushroom content in milligrams and quietly hope you will not check. This one is measured in grams, and it still tastes like coffee rather than like a supplement, which is the harder trick by far. Brew it alone or cut it half and half with your usual grounds. It reuses well — a second and third pass pulls more from the mushrooms — so a can goes further than the label suggests. Caffeine-free, so it is as good at nine at night as it is at seven in the morning.
