Western "Fruit Salad" 4 on 1 Multi Grafted Fruit Tree

The Western Fruit Salad Tree turns one planting site into a varied warm-climate stone-fruit collection. Compatible nursery-selected grafts may include peaches, nectarines, plums, and apricots, each contributing its own skin color, flesh texture, flavor, and ripening period to a shared canopy. The result is more than a space-saving novelty: spring blossoms create a layered ornamental display, pollinators move among the flowering branches, and summer brings a sequence of fruits to compare fresh from the tree. Labeled scaffolds make the tree especially engaging for families and gardeners who enjoy following several varieties through the season. It is an appealing choice for anyone who wants orchard diversity without planting multiple full-sized trees. Careful annual balancing is essential, but the reward is a distinctive centerpiece that can provide multiple stone-fruit experiences from a single, thoughtfully managed tree. This tree includes at least four grafted varieties from the possible assortment below. Individual varieties cannot be selected. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. This tree grows on Lovell rootstock with a standard framework. Preserve labels and keep all grafts balanced through annual pruning. Pollination depends on the grafted cultivars and local bloom overlap; verify the supplied labels before deciding whether an additional partner is needed. Other stone fruit nearby can increase pollinator activity and broaden the orchard’s flavor and harvest range. Special care: Retain scaffold labels and prune annually so no single graft dominates the canopy Something special: A multi-grafted fruit-salad tree can spread several flavors and harvest dates across the space occupied by one root system. Possible Varieties and Climate RequirementsPossible varieties are listed below; individual named grafts cannot be selected or guaranteed. Check the labels on the tree you receive. Gold Dust peach: USDA zones 6–9; 550 chill hours. Independence nectarine: USDA zones 5–9; 700 chill hours. July Elberta peach: USDA zones 5–9; 400–500 chill hours. Late Santa Rosa plum: USDA zones 5–10; 400 or fewer chill hours. Blenheim apricot: USDA zones 7–9; 400 or fewer chill hours. The shared USDA zone range is 7–9. For planning, allow 700 winter chill hours to cover the highest published requirement in this possible assortment. The lowest figure applies only to certain varieties and is not sufficient for every possible graft. Chill requirements are estimates and local conditions affect performance. A ZIP-code USDA zone match indicates cold hardiness, not sufficient winter chill. Review the separate chill outlook and local weather records; a zone match does not guarantee fruiting.
