Multi Color Log Cabin

This Multi Color Log Cabin quilt offers a cohesive and symmetrical look. The squares are arranged in a way to form diamonds across the top of the quilt offering a sweeping gaze. With small details on the various fabrics, they add extra depth and focal points while taking in this striking quilt. This twin-sized bedding has a border of a black fabric with small flowers. The quilt has a scalloped edge and a black binding. This Log Cabin is finalized with a backing of a black fabric with red and yellow small flowers. ABOUT THIS PATTERN Log Cabin quilts date back to when Abraham Lincoln was running for office. Because women could not vote, they made log cabin quilts to show their support for him as he lived in a log cabin. During the era of the Underground Railroad, a log cabin quilt hanging in the window of a Northern home indicated a safe house. In the design, the center of each square is to represent the fireplace in a log cabin. Additionally, the contrast of light and dark fabrics is to represent the joys and sorrows in life. SIZE Twin Size — 80 inches wide x 92 inches long Sized at 80″ x 92″, this quilt provides approximately 21 inches of drop on each side of a standard twin mattress, generous coverage at the foot of the bed, and ample room for a comfortable pillow tuck—eliminating the need for coordinating shams.
