Mulino Bianco Baiocchi Cookies, 9.1 oz. (257g)

Mulino Bianco Baiocchi Cookies are decadent treats with a layer of rich chocolate cream sandwiched between scrumptious cookies. Made with carefully selected top-quality ingredients, these mouth-watering bite-sized biscuits have a crumbly texture and a perfectly balanced flavor profile. Shortbread cookies' origins trace back to 12th century Scotland when butter was added to bread dough, thus it was named shortbread. After introducing sugar in the UK in the 17th century, shortbread cookies soon became synonymous with sweet flavors that we all know today. One of the biggest consumers of cookies is Italy, a country known for its "cookies for breakfast" culture. Throughout the centuries, they have created some of the most unique biscuit varieties, including Baci di Dama (or "lady's kisses"), Biscotti (or "twice-baked," also known as Cantuccini), and Amaretti ("amaro," meaning bitter in reference to almonds they contain).
