MSR Trail Base Water Filter Kit, 4-Liter

The MSR Trail Base Water Filter Kit is a modular water treatment system built for backpackers, hikers, and bikepackers who don’t want to be locked into one filtering method. Break it down into a gravity-fed setup back at camp, or pop the small hollow fiber filter free to use as a pocket-sized trail filter or fast-and-light reservoir on the move. One kit adapts to however you’re moving through the backcountry, so you’re not carrying separate gear for camp and trail filtration. Hollow fiber filter removes 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa and particulate, meeting U.S. EPA drinking water standards and the NSF protocol P231 testing standard, so you can trust the water you’re filtering Modular design lets the same filter quickly convert from a 2 or 4-liter gravity system into a compact trail filter and back again, matching the setup to the task at hand Trail filter quick-connects directly into the gravity system, so switching between camp filtration and on-the-go filtering takes seconds, not tools Includes an ultralight, durable clean water reservoir with a 3-in-1 cap that handles filling, drinking, and pouring without swapping parts Works equally well as a basecamp gravity filter, a pocket trail filter, or a reservoir for carrying clean water with you Size: 4-liter reservoir kit Filter media: hollow fiber Certifications: meets U.S. EPA Guide Standard and Protocol for Testing Microbiological Purifiers; tested to NSF protocol P231 Whether you’re hiking, biking, or basecamping, this kit is built to be the one water filter that covers all of it.
