MSR Elixir 4 Backpacking Tent (w/footprint)

Elixir 4 Backpacking Tent (w/footprint) Truly versatile, the Elixir 4 can do it all, from multisport basecamp adventures to epically spacious backcountry camping with friends and family. The Inside: The interior is a roomy 55 sq. feet (5.11 sq. m) so everyone can stretch out in camp. It easily accommodates modern wide sleeping pads without overlap thanks to the true rectangular floor. The tent body is a mix of mesh and solid fabric for the perfect blend of breathability and privacy. The no-curve tent doors feature zippers that are easy to use with one hand. They also zip closed to a single point so you always know where to open the door, even in the dark. Tech-friendly pockets feature cable ports at the corners for headphones and charging cords. Large overhead gear loft pockets are perfect for headlamps, sunglasses and other quick-access items. The Outside: The color-coded pole and clip design makes setup easy. Strong aluminum poles, a PFAS-free water-repellent coating and taped seams keep the Elixir stable and dry. The rainfly features large vestibules for storing any gear you don’t want inside. The easy in-and-out vestibule doors feature StayDry™ rain gutters to catch any drips, while the updated kickstand vents add even more airflow. Premium metal corner hardware is easy to use and super durable for years of use. The Bottom Line: Ready to accommodate the whole gang, the Elixir 4 tent is equally at home car camping, backpacking, or basecamping. Super Livable: True rectangular floorplan and spacious interior fits modern wide sleeping pads with ease; unique pole geometry provides exceptional headroom (48 in/1.22 m). Easy Setup: Freestanding design, color-coded poles and webbing and included footprint make for fast and intuitive setup. Privacy & Ventilation: A mix of mesh and solid fabric panels offers a balance of ventilation, warmth and privacy. Weatherproof: PFAS-free DWR coating and taped seams keep the elements outside where they belong. Lower-impact Mesh: Mesh fabric is solution-dyed, meaning it uses pre-dyed fibers to minimize the water and energy required to color the fabric. Using solution-dyed fabric reduces carbon emissions by at least 80% compared to our previous fabric. Durable Poles: Strong 7000-series aluminum poles stand up to variable weather conditions. Full-Featured Rainfly: Large StayDry™ doors with built-in rain gutters and updated kickstand vents for extra ventilation; large side-entry vestibules to store gear.
