Mr. Toad's Wild Ride Tee

A subtle Disney shirt for people who still haven't gotten over it. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride opened with Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971 — and it had two completely separate tracks with two different ride paths, so what you experienced depended entirely on which side you boarded. It ended in a full scene set in hell. Disney closed it in September 1998 to make room for Winnie the Pooh, despite fan protests so organized they were called "Toad-Ins." People flew in from across the country. Disney stationed guards at the ride. None of it worked. You can still find Mr. Toad in the Haunted Mansion pet cemetery — his rumored epitaph: "Here Lies Toad. It's sad but true, he wasn't as marketable as Winnie the Pooh." Disneyland still has the ride. Florida does not. This shirt is for Florida. Comfort Colors 1717.
