Move Shoot Move V Mounts

Move Shoot Move Z and V Mounts: Innovations in Star Tracking Collaboration with Experts: Developed in partnership with renowned landscape astrophotographer Alyn Wallace, these mounts are designed to enhance the functionality of star trackers for astrophotography, particularly in challenging environments. Problem Solving Design: Specifically created to address the difficulties of using a ball head on a star tracker near the equator and performing panoramas at various latitudes. Innovative Star Tracker Platform: Introduces a level platform with adjustable and lockable angles, simplifying the setup and use of ball heads on star trackers. This platform can rotate, providing flexibility for panoramic photography and general astrophotography. Development Journey: From initial concept in June 2020 through multiple iterations, each version improved upon the last—from enhancing the mechanism to lock the platform's angle to adapting the design for easier use with gloves. Choosing Between V and Z Mounts: The V Mount is lighter, ideal for users who need to minimize additional weight on their setup. The Z Mount offers versatility, capable of replacing a ball head on a tripod or functioning as a standalone table-top tripod, trading a bit of extra weight for significantly increased functionality.
