Movado Micro-Rotor

Overall Condition: Very good condition overall. Case shows light wear consistent with age and use. Dial is in good condition with subtle patina throughout. A time-only Movado from the 1950s or 60s — really any mechanical Movado from the 1950s or 60s for that matter — offers a ton of value in the watch world. Movado, established in 1881, made some of the finest time-only and complicated watches of the 20th century. Their famed triple-calendar watches of the 1940s and ‘50s and Super Sub Sea chronographs from the 1960s are highly sought after by collectors, and for good reason — combining high-quality movements with attractive design, they’re the type of timepieces that draw people headfirst into the horological world. Designed in the mold of other classic 1960s dress watches such as the Patek Philippe Calatrava, this simple Movado is the perfect accompaniment to a special night out. Housed in a beautiful 34mm 18K yellow gold case with a matching crown and an acrylic crystal, it features a textured silver dial with applied indices, a matching 'pencil' handset, and an automatic winding caliber 230 with micro-rotor beating away within. The 18K gold has a unique lemony tone that is both beautiful and subtle. Svelte and handsome, this is a dress watch for someone who’s gone deep down the horological rabbit hole. Snag it now!
