Mount to Coast Women’s R1 Twilight

The Mount to Coast Women’s R1 is a performance-focused road running shoe built specifically for long-distance comfort, efficiency, and durability. Designed with ultrarunners in mind, this shoe delivers a smooth, consistent ride that holds up over extended mileage, making it an excellent choice for marathon training, ultra-distance racing, and high-volume daily running. Its lightweight construction and thoughtful design make it a standout option for runners who prioritize comfort over long distances. At the core of the R1 is a responsive midsole engineered to provide balanced cushioning and long-lasting performance. The foam is designed to absorb impact while maintaining structure, ensuring a consistent ride even as miles add up. This makes the shoe especially effective for long runs, where dependable cushioning is essential to reduce fatigue and maintain comfort. Many runners describe the ride as smooth and controlled, offering a reliable feel that performs well across a wide range of distances. One of the defining features of the R1 is its wide toe box and accommodating fit, which allow the foot to spread naturally during runs. This becomes especially important during longer efforts when feet may swell, helping reduce pressure points and improve overall comfort. The shoe also incorporates Mount to Coast’s TUNEDFIT™ dual lacing system, which allows for independent adjustment of the forefoot and midfoot. This creates a highly customizable fit, enabling runners to fine-tune comfort and lockdown depending on distance and conditions. The engineered upper provides a secure yet breathable fit, balancing structure with flexibility. It is designed to hold the foot in place without feeling restrictive, making it comfortable for both steady runs and all-day wear. The overall construction remains lightweight, helping reduce fatigue during longer efforts. Underfoot, the outsole is built for durability and reliable traction on paved surfaces. The broad platform enhances stability and supports smooth heel-to-toe transitions, contributing to a natural and efficient stride. The Mount to Coast Women’s R1 is an excellent choice for runners seeking a long-distance road shoe that prioritizes comfort, fit adaptability, and consistent cushioning. With its innovative design and ultrarunning focus, it’s a dependable option for tackling serious mileage with confidence. Shop our entire Mount to Coast collection.
