Mottled Red Cynarina

4.5" - WYSIWYG - Fully Conditioned to life in a Reef Aquarium and ships from WWC! **Cynarina: A Heavy-Hitter Showpiece for Serious Reef Builders** When it comes to bold, high-impact corals that instantly command attention, the Cynarina stands in a league of its own. Oversized polyp structure, hypnotic color shifts, and near-glasslike sheen make this a must-have centerpiece for any high-end reef tank. This large, single-polyp LPS coral features a fleshy base with color varieties ranging from neon green and blood-red to metallic orange and cotton-candy pink. Its massive, inflated tissue creates high contrast under heavy blue LEDs, glowing with an almost jellyfish-like translucence. The coral’s radial lines and textured folds catch and scatter light, giving it a pulsing, alive appearance—especially once your moonlights kick on. Unlike branching SPS or plating LPS, the Cynarina grows as a solitary polyp with a wide oral disc and thick, chalice-like base. It’s a slow grower, focusing all its energy into developing size and intensity rather than speed or spread. This coral doesn’t multiply fast—but when it expands, it becomes a living trophy in your tank. **Care Guidelines:** - **Care Level:** Moderate - **Lighting:** Moderate to Low (thrives under blue-heavy LED) - **Flow:** Low to Moderate (too much flow can prevent full inflation) - **Placement:** Bottom to mid-level substrate; space generously - **Growth Form:** Large single-polyp, encrusting base with massive tissue inflation If you’re looking to stock your tank with pieces that make an immediate and lasting impression, the Cynarina is a no-brainer. It’s built for reefers who want high-value visuals and don’t settle for average. Put it in the right spot, keep your parameters stable, and let this beast speak for itself.
