The HLN6861D is a complete vehicle trunnion mounting kit designed to secure mid-power Motorola APX and XTL series mobile radios under vehicle dashboards, on floor humps, or in overhead mounting racks. Does the HLN6861D kit include mounting hardware? Yes, the kit includes the main heavy-duty metal trunnion bracket, side thumb screws, locking washers, and vehicle chassis mounting screws. What is the difference between HLN6861, HLN6861A, HLN6861B, HLN6861C, and HLN6861D? These part numbers represent progressive engineering revision tiers for the exact same mounting kit. HLN6861D is the current active factory version and is 100% backward compatible with all older HLN6861 iterations. Will this bracket fit 100-Watt high-power mobile radios? No, the HLN6861D is designed specifically for standard mid-power mobile radio chassis (up to 50 Watts). High-power 100W transceivers require larger high-power mounting brackets due to their larger heat sink dimensions. Can the angle of the radio be adjusted after installation? Yes, the bracket features slotted side mounting channels that allow you to loosen the side thumb screws, tilt the radio to your preferred angle for optimal viewing, and retighten them firmly.   Warranty 1-year manufacturer's warranty.
