Moth & the Flame (Hardcover Book)

A pioneer of the organic food movement, Arran’s journey began as a young man in the 1960s with a transformative sojourn to India that set him on a course toward meditation and inner firsthand mystical experience. Inspired by his beloved teacher's encouragement and a compassionate diet, Arran opened Canada's first vegetarian restaurant, and later established Nature’s Path alongside his wife, Ratana. From humble beginnings in 1985, the couple built their vision of quality organic foods into North America’s leading organic breakfast cereal and snack food company. Now run by their son, Arjan Stephens, Nature’s Path continues to thrive on the family's mission of purpose-driven business. Told with humility, insight, good humor, and dozens of unique photographs and stunningly beautiful paintings by Arran, Moth & the Flame recounts his personal struggles, triumphs, and lifelong dedication to creating a healthier, more sustainable world, and the profound impact of living a life guided by meditation.
