Mosaic Board

A tray of square wells and a set of shaped tiles — squares, circles, halves, quarters, triangles, bars — that drop in and lift out. Lay a bird, a frog, a name, then tip it out and lay something else. Every tile is cut from the same 22 mm square, so two half circles close back into a circle and two triangles make a square: the shapes are fractions of each other, and a child finds that out by hand. 6×6, 8×8 or 9×9 wells; 192 tiles in six colours; the name on the frame.
