Morning Music

Featuring the New Yorker magazine cover illustrated by Jean-Jacques Sempé and published on September 5, 2022, Morning Music is a thoughtful 500 piece jigsaw puzzle that captures a fleeting, poetic moment in New York City. A musician pedals through the streets with an instrument and groceries in tow, inviting you into a gentle, rhythmic puzzling experience set against the city’s iconic backdrop. Lampposts and tall trees frame the scene, while subtle visual echoes—the traffic light matching the cyclist’s coat and boots, a building awning mirroring the musician’s whimsical hat—reward close looking and careful assembly. Sempé’s signature lightness and humor infuse the image with warmth, movement, and quiet joy. Perfect for cyclists, music lovers, and fans of Jean-Jacques Sempé, Morning Music is especially meaningful as it celebrates the artist’s final New Yorker cover. Shop more Jean-Jacques Sempé puzzles.
