Then take four capsules together, or as directed by a qualified medical practitioner.  Children: Morning Magnesium is not recommended for children under 5 years of age, as it may cause excitability. For children 5 and older, take one capsule and work up to two capsules.   Warning: Smidge® supplements are premium, pure, and potent. Therefore, it’s critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a very small dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what dosage feels right for you. Do not use if the safety seal is broken or missing. Keep out of reach of children.  Morning Magnesium should be taken with food in general, with breakfast or lunch. Avoid taking in the late afternoon or evening, as it may disrupt sleep. For best results, take Smidge® Evening Magnesium later in the day, to help you wind down for a more restful sleep — and to soak up a total of five different types of premium magnesium between the two products. If you’re taking only part of the capsule, you can mix the contents with yogurt or a smoothie.  Storage: Store in a cool, dry area, away from direct light. More Info.  Morning Magnesium is certified by Informed Choice, a quality assurance program that tests sports supplements and nutritional products designed for everyone from elite athletes to weekend warriors. Sourcing and crafting Smidge's high-quality magnesium malate, taurinate, and orotate (and a smidge of boron) are sourced from U.S. mineral shale. And each ingredient is tested to meet stringent regulatory standards. From gently blending to encapsulation, every process in a cGMP-certified facility is controlled to ensure consistency and a clean product. We don’t use fillers, excipients, or flow agents. Their vegetarian capsules are filled with only active, beneficial ingredients. Then, final quality checks (including testing for heavy metals, purity, and nutrient levels) yield the highest standards of safety and efficacy — and optimal absorption.  What makes our morning blend supplement unique? Sometimes, taking too much of one kind of magnesium causes digestive side effects. So, we combined three high-quality, gentle types of magnesium — malate, orotate, and taurinate — in equal amounts and small batches.  Importantly, Smidge left out magnesium citrate, which is in many commercial magnesium supplements and can irritate sensitive systems.   Then, they added a smidge of the mineral boron, which helps your body absorb all that magnesium goodness — and supports strong bones. The taurine in the magnesium taurinate also maximizes absorption.  Of course, their pure magnesium formula is free of fillers and common allergens. As mentioned above, it’s also certified by Informed Choice. Stress management and magnesium Here are more incredible ways magnesium supports mental health. Increases calming GABA: GABA is thought to play a role in controlling stress and fear. Decreased GABA levels are associated with several neurological and mental health conditions like depression and other medical issues. GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that lessens a nerve cell’s ability to receive, create, or send chemical messages to other nerve cells.   Reduces stress hormones: Excess levels of the primary stress hormone cortisol contribute to anxiety, brain fog, depression, mood swings, memory loss, dementia, concentration problems, insomnia, and mental disorders. Magnesium may restrict the release of stress hormones and acts as a filter to prevent them from entering the brain. How this Morning Blend works You may be surprised to learn that every little cell in your body contains magnesium and needs it to function. Yet studies suggest that about 48% of the U.S. population gets less than the recommended daily amount of this critical mineral.  So, Smidge formulated Morning Magnesium to provide you with a refreshing, gentle, mag-infused energy boost, all while going easy on digestion.   This morning blend supplement works in the body by:  Facilitating the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a busy molecule that provides energy Supporting brain function and mood Supporting cardiovascular health and circulation Contributing to the proper function of muscles and nerves (relaxing them, too)  Helping to maintain optimal digestion And, many customers who live with mild headaches turn to Morning Magnesium (check out our product reviews!). Don’t forget the boron in this morning supplement, which supports bone growth and maintenance and helps absorb all of that beautiful magnesium. Magnesium’s crucial role Depending on which studies you read, magnesium is responsible for between 300 and 800 enzyme-driven processes in the body. Many of these are nervous system-related enzymes. This reflects magnesium’s important part in physiological and pathological function. Magnesium is critical for vitamin D absorption, which helps regulate calcium to influence bone growth and maintenance.   Further, Morley Robbins, founder of the magnesium-driven Root Cause Protocol, made a shocking discovery in researching hundreds of scientific studies: Magnesium deficiency, or insufficiency, was at the center of common modern health issues due to its central role in activating nearly 4,000 proteins, and thus thousands of enzyme systems. To really soak in all of the magnesium your body needs, we recommend using this morning supplement in combo with our bedtime magnesium supplement, Evening Magnesium.
