Early Morning Musings on Motherhood and Other Trains of Thought, by Molly Masias

Prose, chapbook, 28 pages, from Bottlecap Features. The pieces of writing contained in this book are intensely personal thoughts on mothering, what it's like to parent under different circumstances, peeks into the author's brain, and moments of revelation experienced by a woman processing her own thoughts. This is a collection of moments of reckoning that could have all taken place at once or which may have taken place over the course of a lifetime. Whether grappling with loss, discontent with the day to day, or finding yourself dozing off midday the trains of thought explored within these pages have something for everyone, although they especially have something for those who may not realize what they're looking for. Molly lives and thinks in the Pacific Northwest. She has a couple of fancy degrees stuffed in a closet and cute kids and a messy life. She’s always loved to write and does so mostly in small, creative bursts based on whatever is on her mind. Her goal is to do that forever and to play with her kids the rest of the time, and maybe to see the world.
