The Umpqua Mopsicle is a highly effective, modern nymph pattern that maximizes movement and visible attraction to trigger aggressive strikes from trout. This "junk fly" style, tied on a weighted jig hook, uses a simple but seductive synthetic body and a shimmering thorax to quickly reach the bottom and imitate a variety of aquatic or terrestrial larva. It's a go-to searching pattern, especially effective when fished with a Euro Nymphing or tight-line technique in fast-flowing water. Umpqua, Nymph, Caddis, Euro-nymphing
