Moonstone Smooth Prong 925 Silver Ring

Moonstone is a feldspar-group mineral best known for adularescence — the soft, floating blue-white sheen that seems to glow beneath the stone's surface. Traditionally associated with intuition, new beginnings, and feminine energy, moonstone has been worn as a talisman and an adornment for centuries. This ring sets a smooth, domed moonstone cabochon into a 925 sterling silver prong setting on an adjustable band, letting the stone's natural glow take center stage. Quick facts Stone Moonstone Composition Feldspar group (orthoclase and albite intergrowth) Hardness (Mohs) 6 - 6.5 Color White to gray with a soft blue-white sheen Chakra Crown, Third Eye Traditionally used for Intuition, new beginnings, feminine energy Care / Water-safe Rinse briefly if needed; mild soap and water is safest Meaning & history Moonstone takes its name from the way its adularescence seems to shift like moonlight across water, and it has long been linked to the moon, to intuition, and to new beginnings. Many wearers turn to moonstone during times of change, treating it as a gentle companion rather than a guarantee of any outcome. In crystal tradition it is also connected to the crown chakra and the third eye, tied to inner reflection and calm awareness. Prefer a larger, smooth-band setting instead? See our Moonstone Smooth Sterling Silver Ring (Large). As a set stone, it sits alongside our wider range of crystal rings for those who like their jewelry to carry a bit of meaning, and it pairs comfortably with other pieces from our crystal collection if you're building out a full collection. How to wear it The band is adjustable, so this ring is easy to size at home — gently open or close it until it sits comfortably. Moonstone is durable enough for regular wear but, like most gem-set jewelry, it's best removed before swimming, exercising, or heavy housework, since knocks and harsh products can dull the polish over time. Because each stone is natural, the exact glow, tone, and pattern of your ring will be unique and may differ slightly from the photo. Care & cleansing Clean your moonstone ring with mild soap and warm water, using a soft cloth or brush to reach around the prongs, then dry it fully before storing. Avoid harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, and steam, which can affect both the stone and the silver setting over time. Store it separately from harder gems so it doesn't get scratched in a jewelry box. Frequently asked questions What is moonstone?
