It gained popularity in the 17th century throughout Europe. The word Decoupage comes from the French word “decouper”, which means “to cut”. As the name implies, Decoupage is a mixed-media art form that utilizes paint, non-toxic adhesive, lacquer, and ultra-fine papers embedded with digitized images.
