Anyone who enjoys astronomy, constellations, and the night sky will love these cards for playing your favorite games or to use as flash cards. Inspired by Adventure Publications’ popular guides to stargazing, this gorgeous deck of playing cards by Jonathan Poppele features 52 professional images of the moon, generated by NASA, utilizing their elevation data to produce perfectly consistent and easy-to-see surface features. The red suits show the moon waxing (growing), and the black suits feature the moon waning (shrinking). From low numbers to high numbers, you’ll see a crescent moon, quarter moon, gibbous moon, and full moon—so you can begin to recognize the phases of the moon. Plus, the jokers feature lunar and solar eclipses. Play games such as blackjack, poker, rummy, and solitaire while learning more about astronomy.
