Moon Mission 114mm Tabletop Dobsonian

The special edition Moon Mission Tabletop Dobsonian offers high-quality performance at an exceptional value. This quality Dobsonian-style telescope features a parabolic glass mirror with a generous 114 mm of aperture. The parabolic mirror delivers a wider field of view than smaller Newtonians, plus sharper views of the Moon’s surface details and crisp, pinpoint stars. You’ll also enjoy using the telescope to pan the Milky Way, explore open star clusters, marvel at Saturn’s rings, or view favorite deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy. This compact, lightweight telescope is an ideal entry-level astronomical telescope. Just remove it from the box, insert an eyepiece, and you’re ready to view. To navigate the sky, rotate the azimuth axis toward your desired object. It doesn’t get much simpler or more portable than that. This compact design is perfect for your next camping trip, picnic, or hike. The Moon Mission Edition Dobsonian will be a stylish decorative fixture on your bookshelf or desk when not in use. Accessories Included The Moon Mission Edition Tabletop Dobsonian 114 mm comes with two eyepieces (20 mm and 8 mm), a Moon Filter, a Moon Map, and a StarPointer® red-dot finderscope. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications to view a variety of targets. The finderscope will help you quickly center an object in your eyepiece. Moon Filter – Reduce the Moon’s bright glare so you can see more details on the lunar surface and observe more comfortably. It only takes a second or two to transform your regular eyepiece into one suited for moongazing. Simply thread this filter onto the bottom of your eyepiece, and you’re ready to go! The Moon Filter is also great for observing Venus or bright terrestrial scenes. Moon Map – This quality two-sided map helps you learn more about our neighboring world, the Moon. Navigate the lunar landscape confidently and identify craters and other surface features you see in your telescope. On the reverse side, the map highlights the most exciting lunar regions to explore with close-up photos and detailed information. The Moon Map is waterproof, tear-resistant, and folds into a compact 8” × 4” size that fits in the Travel Scope backpack for your next camping trip, star party, or backyard stargazing session.   Explore the Moon Familiarize yourself with the Moon, our neighboring world.
