Monroe Sconce

Monroe Sconce The Monroe Sconce brings together soft geometry and material depth, pairing a hand-thrown ceramic dome with a refined glass shade. Its compact, rounded form introduces a subtle visual presence while delivering warm, diffused light suited for everyday use. Each fixture is handmade in Misewell’s Milwaukee studio, where the ceramic body is individually glazed, resulting in slight variations that give every piece its own character. The glass shade softens the output of the G9 LED bulb, creating an even, ambient glow that works particularly well in bedrooms, hallways, and smaller living spaces. Simple yet expressive, the Monroe Sconce is designed to integrate easily into modern interiors. Whether used as a single accent or installed in multiples, it offers a consistent, architectural approach to wall lighting without overwhelming the space. Design & Application The Monroe Sconce is intentionally scaled for versatility. Its compact profile makes it ideal for tighter spaces, while the dome shape adds a soft, approachable geometry that works across a range of interiors. Install it as bedside lighting in place of table lamps, use it in a series along a hallway, or mount in pairs to frame mirrors or architectural elements. The variety of glaze options allows it to either blend seamlessly into neutral environments or introduce a more expressive, color-driven element. Why We Love It The Monroe Sconce strikes a rare balance between personality and restraint. It introduces color, texture, and form in a way that feels considered rather than decorative — a piece that enhances the space without competing with it.
