Universal Audio Astra Modulation Machine

Universal Audio Astra Modulation Machine The Universal Audio Astra Modulation Machine brings decades of coveted, studio-grade analog modulation directly to your pedalboard. Powered by UAFX dual-engine processing, this powerhouse stompbox offers breathtakingly accurate, end-to-end circuit emulations of iconic vintage gear. From the lush, organic chorus and vibrato of a 1976 Japanese bucket-brigade pedal to the deep, swirling whoosh of a legendary '70s rackmount flanger/doubler, the Astra delivers the genuine analog warmth, movement, and texture that defined generations of classic recordings. Beyond its pitch-shifting and time-based effects, the Astra captures the soulful amp-driven pulse of '60s American tube-driven optical tremolo. Complete with modeled preamp saturation and dynamic tube interactions, each mode behaves with the exact warmth and responsiveness of the original vintage hardware. Furthermore, registering the pedal unlocks bonus downloadable algorithms—including the classic Phaser X90 and Dharma Trem '61—expanding your sonic palette even further. Designed for modern stage and studio setups, the Astra feature-set includes Live/Preset switching, true or buffered bypass, silent switching, and full stereo dual-engine capability. Deep customization and preset management are easily accessible via Bluetooth or direct USB connection using the UAFX Control app, giving you complete command over your tone. Housed in a road-worthy, heavy-duty chassis, the Astra Modulation Machine stands as an ultimate, all-in-one modulation solution built to last a lifetime.
