Modern Wrapper Fine Using Isager Spinni/Wool 1 & Alpaca 1

The Design “A lightweight wonder.” We developed a finer-gauge version of our original Modern Wrapper using two strands of lace-weight yarn held together. This sweet spot of gauge and needle size makes a super-wearable fabric. We also slimmed the sleeve and silhouette and added a bit more precision to the fit by grading the design in three relaxed sizes. The Details FINISHED SIZES This garment is designed with 16–22"/40–56cm of ease. GAUGE 22 sts/32 rows = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch on larger needle, after blocking. KNITTER'S NOTES When knitting with two strands at the same time, stop periodically to check for any dropped strands. While it’s not the worst thing that can happen to a sweater, dropped strands are easy to fix, especially if you catch them early. This garment is knit flat in pieces and seamed. Short rows provide subtle shaping at the shoulders so that the garment sits neatly. We slimmed the sleeve and silhouette and added a bit more precision to the fit by grading the design in three relaxed sizes. Designed with 16–22" of ease, the Modern Wrapper Fine leaves a lot of options for fit! Use the recommended amount of ease and enjoy the drapey fabric that results. Or knit it on the larger end of the ease range for a more oversized and dramatic look (similar to our original Modern Wrapper but in a lighter fabric). Or try one size smaller than recommended for a closer-fitting piece that’s more like a long cardigan to wear over leggings and a tank top. If you decide to make your Modern Wrapper Fine into a tunic, leave a small amount of yarn visible after seaming the center front. This way you can easily undo the seam should you want a cardigan instead. Digital Modern Wrapper Fine pattern. (Download) Printed Modern Wrapper Fine pattern. (Requires shipping.)
