Model 2050 Pendant

The Astep Model 2050 Pendant Light is a refined example of Italian modern lighting, combining minimalist structure with soft, atmospheric illumination. Originally designed by influential mid-century lighting pioneer Gino Sarfatti and thoughtfully reissued by Astep, this elegant pendant features a hand-blown opaline glass diffuser suspended by slender steel wires and a clean, understated canopy. The result is a light fixture that appears to float effortlessly in space while delivering warm, diffused light. The opaline glass globe softly disperses illumination to create a balanced ambient glow without harsh shadows or glare. Designed for use with E26 LED bulbs, the fixture offers both energy efficiency and compatibility with dimmers, allowing you to tailor the atmosphere from bright, functional lighting to a softer, more relaxed setting. With its airy suspension system and timeless spherical form, the Model 2050 works beautifully in dining rooms, kitchens, living spaces, and hospitality environments. Its lightweight visual profile makes it especially effective for layered lighting schemes or for installations where a sculptural pendant is desired without overwhelming the surrounding architecture. Blending mid-century design heritage with contemporary performance, the Model 2050 Pendant Light serves as both a practical lighting solution and a sophisticated design statement. Its simple geometry, luminous opaline glass, and precision-crafted suspension system embody the enduring elegance of Italian lighting design.
